Challenge 4 Bitza Shitza

Well here I am with the last page for today...

I am a bit challenged out now and have to go get some photos printed out to do the next one so tomorrow will be soon enough.

This challenge was called the Bitza Shitza  Challenge ... normally called a blind crop you are given a bag of pieces that you then place together by instruction with no idea what the finished project will look like.

In this case we were given a list of pieces to gather together out of our stash and then the instructions to do the page.

I havent done a page of Bella for a while and these photos worked beautifully with the scraps I hd so here it is... hoep you like it.

Challenge 3 Tic Tac Toe

Well here I am again with my next challenge in the Scrap Girls Retreats Retreat at Home....

I am having such a great time gathering all kinds of new inspiration but may have to be a bit serious for  minute or two and do a bit of housework as it's starting to irk me.... not too much though!!

For this challenge I chose the middle row of the Tic Tac Toe grid and worked with a masked background, turquoise and Washi Tape.

I used this photo of me which I'd enhanced on the computer  and some fun stickers which mounted up...  using stuff I haven't used before  such as this large mask and having a great time.

Retreat at Home Challenge 2

Today I have done Challenge 2 for the Scrap Girls Retreats
Retreat at Home weekend.

This challenge was to be inspired by a mood board and turn that inspiration into a page.

This is the first time I have worked off a mood board and am very happy with the result.

Below is the mood board and my page.

Hope you like this page ...
I am off to start on the next challenge now.

Retreat at Home Challenge 1

Hi All

Well here I am again with a new page whipped up today

Thanks to Janet I signed up for a retreat at home this weekend with the Facebook group Scrap Girls Retreats.

It's just like being away on a scrapbook retreat but without the people, packing, strange beds and cost.

Instead we connect with like minded people who are doing the same retreat and enjoy the challenges as they are posted on facebook.

Am finding it quite inspirational to be challenged in this way to produce new pages.

This first challenge is the Rainbow Challenge... we had to do a monochromatic page based on one colour of the rainbow.

I chose blue as I had been waiting to do this photo of Colton having fun at play.

I used clear ink and masked some circles onto the page, heat embossed them in blue.

Added strips, card scraps, twine, buttons and bling to end up with this fun page.

Hope you like it.

Stay tuned more coming over the next few days.

Local Wildlife

Hi All
Here I am again ... trying really hard to keep my blog up to date.

I've found that since getting my new phone which has a good camera on it I very rarely take my larger camera out so last Monday for respite I took it for an outing to Sumsion Gardens to see what I could find to photograph.

Then ...because I had new photos to play with I created these two pages when my friend Gail and I had a scrapping afternoon.

This lovely pelican gave me a heap of poses to play with while grooming himself on the lakes edge.
At the same time another couple swam in and out of sight  enjoying the morning sunshine.

I used this lovely piece of green rustic paper as the backing page and not until I had finished found that I had bought it for the print on the other side so I hope when Janet gets organised she'll be able to find me another sheet of this.

I mounted the photos onto a rustic print and added a bit of Washi Tape and a Title cut on my Cricut... all done and I feel inspired to get out and about with my camera again.
Might take Steve out to the weir for  look this week sometime.

This second page was a mix with the photo bottom right taken where the pelican was and the rest taken at the other end of Sumsion Gardens where the ducks were playing.
They were a bit quicker and very much on the move but fairly happy with the photos I got and the end result of this page.

Both pretty simple pages but I'm sure I'll get back to flowers, bling and embellishments soon enough.

Still increasing my card stash for Steve's fund raising so keeping busy creating which keeps me sane (well sort of)

Hope you like my work... please feel free to comment below

A Bit of This and That

Well here I am again, been a bit slack lately not posting
a lot at all.
That doesn't mean I have been doing nothing though.

The page below is one I did a few weeks ago as a celebration page of our 40th Anniversary on the 12th of July.

I realised we didn't get a nice photo of the two of us on Steve's 60th so set the camera up on the tripod and took a few shots.

I kept the page pretty clean using only white black and a warm yellow, some bling, lace hearts and a homemade flower... easy done and loving the end result.

Although I haven't scrapped a lot of pages lately I have been keeping busy making cards ready to start fundraising for Steve's next wheelchair.

So far I am making cards out of bits and bobs I have lying around... anyone who does craftwork will know how much stuff can be lying around.

I miss my local scrapping store and Janet but have made good use clearing up a lot of what I've bought over the years.

There is an ulterior motive to clearing up and that is that when I get over to see her I'll have room for lots more goodies.

I have a good amount of basic stock now so am ready to do a range of really special cards eg. Wedding, Baby, Special Birthdays which will be more expensive but well worth it for a special occasion.

This stash below is what I created on the weekend while Steve was resting. All bagged and ready to go.

Fundraising

Hi All

Well I really can't believe I have been so slack that my last post was in April so heres a quick update on what I've been doing and will post some more in the next few days.

I am in the process of setting up a

 "Keep Stevie on Wheels"Fundraiser.

His wheelchair will need replacing in the next couple of years and as it will cost the new price of a small to medium car I have been pulling together all the cards I have made over the time I've been scrapping and getting them ready for sale.

I'll hold the occasional stall as the weather warms up and utilIse online options for sale as well.

Every time I've cleaned a drawer or cupboard I've found more so as you can see by the photos below I have been pretty busy with card production over the last 4 years.

I don't seem to have scrapped many pages lately but will sort what I have done and post them soon.

My scrapbooking shop which has been a haven for me over the past 4 years, Scrapville is relocating to Myrtleford, 40 minutes out of town, as Janet  has decided to work closer to home as well go online. Once she's set up I'll be doing some lovely country driving to buy my supplies and participate in workshops/classes/crop days.

I'll miss her very much being here in town but she won't be far away.

For the time being a couple of the girls I scrap regularly will scrap here at home with me so Steve's peaceful Wednesday afternoons are a thing of the past for now.

Numbers Scrapburst

I love scrap bursts and Scrapville has a few happening

again this month.

Here's my first one based on the Numbers Burst

It has to have the following

1x photo, 2x types of distressing, 3x word title, 4x patterned papers,

 5x things the same.

This photo was taken of my Dad by my niece Brianna
the day after his 83rd birthday.

It is a typical pose of him sitting in his chair by the window and with his hat turned backwards which is his style whenever a camera seems to be around.

I have quite a few of these sames shots taken over the years so stay tuned for more.

Lego card

Hi all,
Happy 2014.

Today I am tidying up my blog and giving it a fresh look.
amongst that I am finding a couple of posts I had started but not finished so here they are....

Here's a quick card I made for a Lego loving friends birthday  a while ago.

I punched circles and mounted them onto same colour strips then mounted them at different levels to make them look like 3d lego.

Simple but effective I think.

Scrapville also has some great scrap bursts and a sketch ready for us to start as our first 2014 challenges so am keen to get onto them....stay tuned they'll be coming soon.

September Sketches

Below are my entries for the September Sketch Challenges at Scrapville.

Had a great time with the sketch and my scrapping machines making this page.
On the Grand Calibur I die cut some pleated flowers and put them together.
on my Cricut I cut hexagons, swirls and the base for the pleated flower top left of page.
Love the new papers in at scrapville

No descriptions of what I've done this time ...sorry.

I'll try to do better next year.

Card Creations

Just of late I've been having fun playing with distress inks, masks, my new texture stamps from Scrapville and some die cut embellishments.

Here's a taste of some of the cards I've enjoyed making using techniques above and some scraps out of my stash.

Hope you enjoy.

Also added a couple of tags with a few more of these to come soon.
