Scrapburst White and Orange

Well here I am with Scrapville's Scrapburst layout#3

White and 1 - orange

I found this lovely photo of a sunset I took on the road between Bathurst and Orange in 2007 and thought it was appropriate for this challenge. (I possibly could have used a photo of a sunset over Orange but there is a limit to just how much Orange one needs on a page.)

In my scrap stash I found some papers to use including a lovey bit of Japanese effect tissue which I used for the road.

The spotted ribbon was taped to the right hand side of the page.

Made a series of bunting shapes and used white foam thickers for the title.

A piece of satin ribbon tied them all to the page the edges of the page were heavily inked with orange ink.

I taped a white daisy strip just in from the left hand side and this connected the satin ribbon at the bottom to the chip circle (wrapped  it with white organza ribbon) and the flowers.

Some paint was splattered in the centre of the page.

The photo was double mounted in orange patterned paper.

I journalled in black on the right hand side and finished off by attaching the white picket fence, buttons and cherry blossom embellishment to the satin ribbon along the bottom.

It always amazes me how working with just 2 colours (difficult for me) gives such a clean fresh effect .
