Catch up time

HI all it's been far too long since I posted some scrapping pages and cards so am going to 

post them in one  heap today.

There's a fair mix and match so you get to see a variety of what I've been up to in my spare 

(or avoiding housework) time

For my interpretation of the May monthly sketch at Scrapville I had a fun time doing this page of Bella helping to make her uncle Nathans birthday cake at Great Nan Rileys house. 


I used some of the lovely new silk flowers from Scrapville as well as the leaves and tiny pink roses. 


Above the photo is a die cut doily with the words "Budding Masterchef", the chip frame was painted white with a crackly finish and the title a mix of my writing and medium alphas.




 Bella is such a joy to scrap especially with my sister-in-law Dianne taking such great photos of her.

The April blind crop was a bit of fun... always takes me out of my comfort zone not knowing how the page is meant to look at the end.                                            


This page had some distressing, fake stitching, and a bit of sewing machine use to divide the page into 4 squares.                                                              

We mounted the arrow up and painted the alphas white.                                                                                

The photo of Tricia and Em walking along Bellerive Beach brings back many memories of our times spent strolling there in the evenings...

 For my second page in the May monthly pack I used these childhood photos of Steve to go in our Album.

I did a fair bit of paper tearing,  inking and made a small rose to go on the left hand side.

A couple of buttons and a flower added to the bunting at the bottom across the punched strip.  












May's monthly pack from Scrapville came with some great words and positive thoughts so I used it to do this page of me (photo taken at Bec and Nathan's birthday dinner).

It was a joy to do and is a reminder to me to stay in the present and just be rather that getting agitated and upset if things don't go eaxctly right.

I used the lovely chip shapes that came with the pack, did a bit of tearing, lot of inking and some distressing on this page as welll as masking the white cardstock with a flourish in blue glimmer mist.

 For June Scrapville has put up 4 Scrapburst challenges.

This is number 1... Kraft with 2 ...so I used the Kraft brand cardstock as my backing page and chose blue and white as my 2 colours.

This photo of Bella and Nathan is just gorgeous and the simplicity of the page lets the photo stand out.

I am sure Bella misses Uncle Nathan and loves that he comes home to visit sometimes, and, a shis only neice I am sure he feels the same way.






Number 4 Scrapburst is ....Handmade....
I bought the kit ready prepared for this page so could only use what was in it.

Have been wanting to do this photo of our nephew Matthew for a while and the papers suited nicely.

I made the guitar, crackle painted it and used the corrugater to grunge it up a bit.

The music book at the bottom was made out of a bit of dressmaker pattern as was the flower with a button and bit of cardstock added.

I stamped through a bit of chip ,music to get the patterrn bottom right and used the string, brads and mini alphas for the title.




This little card was made as the May monthly card sketch.

I stamped and used my Copic markers to colour in  Marci who I sat on a chip swirl.

A button, small pearls and an embossed die cut square doily were added to the front.

The card was tied closed with a small bow and the sentiment placed on a small chip tag.

For this gorgeous June monthly pack I used a photo of my niece Breezy.

I love the shot, the effect of the black and white against the colours and it seemed the ideal choice to work with in this pack.

I put a lot of work into this page including tearing, punching, stamping, fussy cutting, glimmer misting, modge podge on the pickets and sentiments, some whimsical ink stitching between the daisies which had bling for their centres.

I loved the quotes on these pages including
 "never forget how awseome you really are" and
"what makes you different makes you special"

I used up a few bits and pieces in my leftover box to scrap this great photo taken at Steves Dad's 80th birthday.

There's bound to be more photos to come from this day but thought this one of the Two Johns with Jacquis boys Byron and Logan was a great photo for this page.
