LAYOUT #2 PLACE/THING PHOTO

This layout took a fair bit of time waiting, waiting for mediums to dry.

I glued a heap of old alpha's onto a sheet of chip and when it was dry gave it a couple of coats of gesso.

I then went over the whole piece in crackle and left overnight to dry.

Misting with chalk mist in a green came next to a couple of spots and after this dries I went over the background with a few different coloured inks.

This page had to be of a place or thing so when I saw the lovely chip gate at Scrapville I knew exactly what photo I wanted to use for it.

I mounted the photo on a piece of printed brown cardstock then onto the faux cardboard piece inking all edges in a brown.

I fussy cut the flower at the top left of the photo and the sequence that went along the bottom of the photo.

Next I glued some handmade paper and organza flowers on left and along the bottom edge.

The chip gate went on over the journalling which was done on vellum to keep some colour from the background coming through, then I wound a couple of silk cherry blossom embellishments into one side of the gate.

To finish off I wrote the title on a piece of vellum, inked the edges and randomly stamped some flowers onto the vellum.

A piece of inked cardstock from the same page I fussy cut the flowers from finished the title off.

I hope I have done justice to this beautiful old mansion that we were privileged to visit whilst on our travels.
